About Dr. Claribel Cabarcas, Ph.D.
My name is Dr. Cabarcas, Ph.D., a Professional Clinical Member and Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with the National Christian Counselor's Association. I am a graduate of Jacksonville Theological Seminary with a Masters in Christian Counseling, a Doctorate in Clinical Christian Psychology and trained as a Temperament Therapist. I'm board certified in Crisis and Abuse Therapy to counsel those with issues of anger, depression, crisis and abuse and board certified to counsel those with addictions and alcoholism. My belief is that God is the real authority in counseling and that He is the one who gives us the resources to change. Therefore, counseling at Speak Your Heart will involve me praying with and for the client and their difficulties while looking to the authority of the Bible for guidance.
Counseling is not my only passion as I also conduct workshops and preach the Word of God. I've had the privilege of doing so for the past 16 years in Churches located in both New York and New Jersey. In all areas of my ministry, you will find me sharing my testimony with people suffering with all types of emotional cancers such as fear, anger, bitterness and resentment. My message has never wavered, as I preach, teach and counsel on how God's love is powerful enough to forgive, liberate, transform and restore our broken hearts and lives.

I believe that the Bible is the Word of God, trustworthy, true and without error inspired by the Holy Spirit to teach, guide, correct and train us.

I believe that Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross, dying for our sins and then rising again. Those who
repent and believe in Him will be born again of the Holy Spirit providing us the gift of eternal life and privilege of becoming children of God
(not by our works or the works of the law).
-For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
-Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
